Supreme Court and the Rights of Students
A case is being argued today in the Supreme Court involving the strip search of a 13 year old girl by public school officials. The student was stripped search when on a "hunch" school officials thought she had prescription Ibuprofen. After a search of her bag turned up nothing, the student was led to the nurses office and stripped search that turned up nothing. The Supreme Court is going to decide the constitutionality of the search. Jonathan Turley has more here as well as the ACLU's Blog of Rights.
